Zara Dwinger is an accomplished film director from Amsterdam. She makes stylized films with humor and emotional depth, putting women and girls centre stage. After graduating from the Dutch Film Academy she made several award winning shorts that premiered at festivals like Berlinale, Clermont-Ferrand and Camerimage. All got celebrated as Vimeo Staff Picks. Her breakthrough debut feature film KIDDO - a playful 'mother-on-the-run' roadmovie - premiered at Berlinale 2023, won multiple awards internationally and received six Gouden Kalf nominations, winning two. Now Zara is expanding her journey into commercials, focusing on projects with strong art direction and a hint of emotion to create that extra touch of magic.
